Especially if Tyreek ends up there. They have the $$$. :-)

Tunsil's under control at 2 years, $41 million for them. Still one of the 3-5 best pass blockers in the NFL.

They gave up the rough equivalent of a late 2nd this year, IMO.

I'd have probably preferred give up this years 2 and some change to try to get that deal done. Then again, Houston may have been really opposed to trading him to us given that they need to beat us to accomplish anything. Might have taken our 1st and I wouldn't have been willing to do that.

But if a deal similar to the Brown deal was on the table, I'd have taken it for sure. Our 1st and 4th for their 2nd and Tunsil? Yeah, I'd have been in on that.

Oh well -- have to figure the phonecall was made.
The Texans are happy to rid themselves of Tunsil. Never played to the level of his contract. He never got better once he left Miami. He's also kind of a "ME /$$$" guy. Does things his own way all the time, because he has fuck you $$$. Im glad the Chiefs didn't trade for the guy.

He is 30 yo.

Veach has made plays for Silverback and Stanley so I think at LT he makes exceptions.

Texans would be Buffalo like stupid to trade Tunsil to the Chiefs.

This is an absolutely asinine trade for the Texans. I don't get how they can justify it. Oh well, guess it's another AFC playoff team shooting themselves in the foot for no reason, so I'll take it.

All I'm seeing out there is that the Texans "wanted to get younger and less expensive on the offensive line" and that it was nothing but a cap move.

Why trade for Kirk if you're worried about cap space? Why is 35-year-old Denico Autry still sitting on your roster?

That's insane. Is Caserio trying to be an idiot?

IF that was the case, I can't fathom how sending him to us for our 2nd and the 3rd from the Titans this year wouldn't have been far more attractive, and I don't see any reason not to pay that.

Whatever, it's moot at this point. Just really, really odd.

It had to be personal with Tunsil. That’s all I can come up with.

It was. He's a "Me fir$t" guy. Once he got his big contract, he did things his way. Plus, he never lived up to that contract and the draft capital it took to secure him. He was an above average pass blocker, and a below average run blocker when he came to Houston. His play tailed off last season, and he led all OLmen in penalties. Dude did nothing to change his approach, and was emphatic about not doing so, and actually came out and told the media that he had a "target" on his back. You don't want a guy like that who is not willing to change things up for the betterment of the team... It was personal and he made it that way with his attitude.
