Nzoner's Game Room>Hatred, Depression, or Resignation?
Wallcrawler 09:47 AM Yesterday
I began watching the Chiefs at 15 years old. I watched Joe Montana shame Buddy Ryan in the Astrodome the week before he would be destroyed at Buffalo, bouncing his head off the turf and entering the shadow realm with 13:23 left in the 3rd quarter.

I would be 37 years old before I saw the Chiefs win another playoff game, and in that span, I watched the Chiefs lose to the Colts 4 times over 19 years.

I DESPISED the Indianapolis Colts. They were the Chiefs personal boogeyman until Mahomes exercised those demons at Arrowhead, crushing the Colts and sending Andrew luck riding off into the sunset. They have not recovered since.

Even with losing to them 4 times, there were other playoff losses peppered in there for variety, but still, I hated the Colts.

What must Bills Mafia be feeling, losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs 4 times in 5 years? It could have been 5 straight years, had they not blown the game at home against the Bengals. We matched up with Buffalo far better than the Bengals, we would have mulched them.

I cannot imagine what is going through their minds right now. It's unprecedented, the domination that Andy has leveled upon his former staff member in Sean Mcderpitt.4 losses in 5 years. It's like Andy is tossing Sean the regular season victory just to keep him employed and keep him from taking his own life just so he can shove his thumbs into McDerpitts asshole and rip it apart like a head of lettuce in front of 58 million viewers in the playoffs.

How cruel Andy must be to give such false hope to Bills faithful. What a savage.

Can there really be any hate left? 4 losses in 5 years with only minor staff changes used as scapegoats? Possibly. I mean, they put themselves through burning tables willingly so there's not a lot of brain cell movement.

I wonder if that old bastard singing the Josh Allen song is still alive.

What about that crying guy in the meme from last year when Bass executed the Scott Norwood tribute? Is he alive?

Is that one annoying Bills fan here going to start spelling seasom with the N?

I work for Highmark, who has the naming rights for the stadium in Buffalo. It's based out of Pittsburgh, so it's predominately Steelers fans, but there's also a sprinkling of Ravens and Eagles fans. A few years back we acquired an insurer based in Buffalo which led to the stadium naming rights and 5-10% of our actuarial work force is based out of Buffalo. I work remote from here in KC, so I'm the only KC fan. I'm also very outspoken about my fandom and it's well known.

I took Monday off and haven't had any meetings with the Buffalo contingency this week, so I'm not sure how they are doing. I do know going into this season there was a peculiar mix of resignation and optimism, which I guess makes sense and reminds me of my own fandom at different times in the past.

Anyone born in Buffalo is resigned to a life of misery.

Back at draft time, Buffalo was looking at rebuild. Even going into the year, they were getting younger. That was part of the reason they did the Worrhy trade with us.

Hard for anyone to remember, but there was lots of talk about all their holes back at the start of the year. They made it to 2 minutes in the 4th of the championship game with their hopes still alive. They are just a little behind us when we had our rebuild year.

It was a mini reset year for Buffalo. But not a true rebuild year as they pushed Josh Allen cap money into the future.

A true rebuild year and they would have eaten the cap now.

You should checkup on them, and see how they're doing. :-)

McDermott's personality seems stronger than Allen's. I think that's a correctable mistake. Bye Sean

Perhaps send a group email, with the salutation "My bitches!"

Show them you care. :-)

I will probably let sleeping dogs lie with the Buffalo folk, but... my boss is an Eagles fan. He's currently on vacation, but there will be some things said next week.

I definitely see the correlation between their hatred of us and our hatred of the wretched, shit-sucking Colts. I some ways ours was worse, since it extended over a couple of decades, and only once did they actually move on from beating us to win the Super Bowl. Coincidentally, that was also the only year the fuckers actually fielded the better team.

I still hate the Colts with a passion; not quite as much as I hate Denver, but close. Even with all the Super Bowls, my favorite playoff win is still when we finally staked those fuckers in 2018 playoffs, and permanently broke Luck in the process.

This is part of my 1983 QB draft class conspiracy/karma theory that explains the magic needed to break out of the karma loop. Chiefs suffered huge for being the Blackledge pickers and instigating the whole thing, but the other teams that ended up with great QBs (not the right ones) and left those QBs championship-less also had to suffer. Bills have to get assists from the Dolphins and Patriots. Add in the Colts who got stuck in it for a bit by Elway.

Chiefs finally broke out by way of four losses to the Colts, Bills handing them Mahomes, Miami FitzMagic assist, Patriots losses (Brady leaving is the rule of 4 exception,) plus obviously the 50 cumulative no super bowl seasons.

The losses have to come in fours it appears, and the assists apparently can be single acts of consent. Football karma is a bitch.

As someone who tends to not find a lot of the juvenile jokes on CP all that funny (mind you, I don’t judge anyone who does or get offended, I just genuinely don’t find it all that funny), I must admit…..for whatever reason I find the fact that Wall crawler calls the Bills coach “Mcderpitt” ****ing hilarious.
