I had forgotten how spectacular he was at times for us.

Got the Chiefs back to respectability and was an excellent mentor for Mahomes (and that’s per Mahomes). The hate he gets from some here is bizarre.

Alex Smith helped build the foundation that Mahomes turned into a castle. He brought us out of some really dark times. Him and Reid coming out and winning their first 9 games together after the team won 2 games the year before was nothing short of amazing. He then helped mentor Mahomes and netted us Kendall Fuller who helped us win a Super Bowl.

I have nothing but love for #11.

All I know is that everything turned out perfect.

Change anything from the past and you never know.

So, I’m happy we had home for a bit.

His mentorship of Mahomes and all that happened since has largely made me forget that every time he played the football gods flipped a coin. If it was heads, he played like a fearless, lights out stud. If it was tails, he played like Damon Huard.

But yes, he led us out of the dark times.

Yep, and objectively speaking we had some fun times.

The 2016 season in particular was fucking awesome.

Me either. Still, couldn't pass up a chance to relive the bad old days. :-)

Honestly he did a great job with the situation he had.

He just hit his ceiling. And we as a fanbase outgrew being content with appearing in the playoffs. We wanted to get back to the dance, badly. And we knew Alex couldn't get us there.

I fucking hate this piece of shit. Tom Brady, Joe Burrow (or Eric Bieniemy in my view) and fucking Alex Smith are the only people that can stop Mahomes from winning a Super Bowl.

Thats it. Thats the list.

I hope he rots in hell.
