Nzoner's Game Room>Refs
Chieftain 11:28 PM 01-26-2025
In line with other random threads already opened in this glorious night, let me take the time to applaud the referees for calling an outstanding game. They let both teams play and in the end, Los Jefes came out victorious. Clit has called some reasonable games the last few times the Chiefs played and I think his crew was spot on for the majority of the calls, tonight.:-)

The one that couldve been terrible was the PI on McDuffie, but it didn't matter. Really well officiated overall with limited flags.

I really liked the way they ignored the Chiefs holding on every play.

ETA - For those downvoting me, this was meant as sarcasm.

They didn’t call a single false start penalty on Taylor.

How is that possible?

My favorite is when the refs blocked for Mahomes on his 12-yard touchdown run while Kelce and Noah Gray just watched.

I still don't understand "The prior play is under review." I didn't know you could review something that happened two plays ago.

Did CBS ever explain the fake flag on the final Allen throw on 4th and 5?

A flag wasn't even thrown. It was a mistake by the broadcast.

I really liked how the refs ignored every holding play on Dion Dawkins.

To a one on Calliendo was dogshit. Oliver was offsides.

But they made up for it by not calling it on Taylor the next play.

I think they were trying to will it into existence.

McDermott threw challenge flag BEFORE the play ran but refs screwed up and killed the horrible Chiefs play.

rewatching the game... Done with first half...McDuffie was not interference. The Worthy catch if overturned would have given us a first down because Hambulance mugged Kelce for about 5 seconds. This most likely would have helped us use more clock and still scored as they had no answer. Also, Reid was not offsides on the PAT, his timing was spot on, but the ref threw the flag. Ended up helping us as they missed the 2.

Of all the questionable calls last night, the "blended clock" had me scratching my head the most. Benefitted us but isn't .7 seconds still measurable time :-)

My guess is someone at CBS thought some yellow confetti was a flag.
