Never say never
That "Chiefs hangover" thing intrigues me. Any tweets or stats or anything out there that supports it? I remember a few years back when we had Tyreek it was noted that teams played particularly poor pass defense the week AFTER playing the Chiefs. Theory being that their secondary was absolutely gassed from playing us. [Reply]
Another chance to put my theory of Chiefs Derangement Syndrome to the test. I suspect it primarily affects those teams that really, really, really hate us, like the Bungles, Ratbirds, Buffalo, SF and obviously the division rivals. Those teams tend to get beat the week before they play us (fuck today's game, we've got the Chiefs next week!) and the week after we've crushed their souls. CDS doesn't seem to be affected by either the caliber of the opponent or the venue.
So far this season CDS is 3-0. If Washington wins tonight, it will be 4-0. [Reply]
Hoping for losses from Bills and Bengals, would be content with good games, but expecting blowout wins from each of them because their opponents are simply not good. [Reply]
