Still playing 5. Never did buy 6 because the graphics never appealed to me and then some of the systems they switched up were just a miss, imo. Hopefully 7 is a banger. [Reply]

At first, 5 was better. 6 with patches, expansions, improvement, became preffered for me.
I expect 7 to follow a similar path. I am afraid they are going to try and monetize it by leaving out, then selling you back features. That is what games have become [Reply]

Winning a religious victory was anathema to me but a nice achievement to unlock.
I couldn't stand the world council or whatever it was called.
They would start shunning me and calling me a warmonger if I fought back against someone who attacked first. For the rest of the game it seemed like. Probably my main gripe, otherwise I really enjoyed it. [Reply]
Problem with 6 is most of the time the cpu didn't make enough units to withstand any kind of decent assault. Been thus way since the 1 unit per tile [Reply]

Yeah, the war mongering penalties are a little too high.
I watched the launch trailer yesterday and really was intrigued by the idea of playing as a civilization that adapts with each age. Also sounds like they’re cutting it to 3 ages. [Reply]
