0 and 40 are supposed to be the hardest on your body. I have a miracle sleep pill. (Seroquel) I have a miracle liver pill (concentrated milk thistle) I have a miracle high BP medicine. (Amlodapine benazopril) Thinking about trying something for mental health.(????) Dont need much for pain so far.
Stay active. Try to socialize and spend time outside. Hopefully there are a few people in your life who you can confide honestly in and be yourself around.
If you own your home and plan to stay in it as long as you possibly can, think about modifications that you can do now while you have good physical ability that will let you stay independent as you age (e.g. if you're remodeling a bathroom don't put in a deep tub, put in a shower, install wooden bracing behind the wall at 33" to 36" height so you can install grab bars eventually, or just put them in now, there are decorative ones that match your hardware and don't look like a hospital.)
Switch to low maintenance outdoor things like yard, landscape, decks etc. unless you can pay forever for someone to maintain them. Simple outdoor things like flowers or garden or that stuff, keep doing that, it's good activity and therapeutic. F*ck shoveling snow unless you want a back injury. Stay off ladders and the roof. Address slippery or dark areas in the home, or hard to open doors or cabinets. etc. Things you're strong enough to yank open or shut you won't be able to do it forever. [Reply]

As in something to help with anxiety/depression, or do you mean something to keep your brain from turning into mush due to something like Alzheimer's? [Reply]

Scared of Alzheimer's/Dementia. Seems like either cancer or Alzheimer's/Dementia is gonna get us all in the end. [Reply]
I turned 60 last February… I do notice some changes from 50s to now.. Lower stamina aches and pains.. I’m pretty healthy though..
I seem to be more emotional for some reason too.. Really reflective on my life and how much time I may have left.. I take time to enjoy things like my grandkids, family and friends… My wife is 4 years younger, still beautiful our marriage is the best than it’s ever been…I don’t sweat the small shit like I did when I was younger..
I can still drive a golf ball past my golfing buddies who are about 5 years younger than me.. I tell them maybe when they grow up they can hit it as far..:-) [Reply]
