03 GMC Envoy straight/inline 6 with 220k runs very well but doing a tune up because it hasn’t had one since I had it the last 7 years or so plus I want to see if I can improve MPG performance. Fuel filter I did about 6 months ago. This year doesn’t have a MAF sensor so I will just clean the throttle body. No PCV valve either but 2 hoses instead. Got them for a good price from rock auto. Have heard plugs and other parts have counterfeit problems online especially eBay and Amazon so I got the AC Delco iridiums from Oreillys. The coil packs are the only thing I have not bought yet for the tune up. Anyone have any experience with 1A Auto?
I almost just bought these but I did a search and it seems their customer service sucks and they have BBB complaints so these say lifetime warranty I’m assuming they’re cheap parts and one of those you get what you pay for situations but still thought I would check with the CP grease monkeys.
Couldn’t find AC Delco coil packs (except eBay and I’m not going that route)so I figure the Delphi are the OEM. The one I can see with the cover still on is a Delphi.
I’ve never used the NGK coils just the plugs in my lawnmower and weed eater
Also, rock auto. With warranty and customer service, all that stuff what’s is the opinions there? Good or bad? My getting the hoses recently is the first time I’ve done business with them. Anyone heard of counterfeit parts issues with them? Looks like both Delphi and NGK are 36k miles/3 year warranty so that’s plenty for this vehicle
No codes showing up or anything just a good time for coil replacement when doing the plugs. And yes my tranny is doing well thanks in advance for asking [Reply]

Sometimes it leaks a dirty pink or red fluid. My mechanic says he thinks it’s just confused and not to worry about it. Good point on the leash. I will check rock auto [Reply]

Rockauto was started by Tom Taylor of the Taylor family who started Advanced Auto.
Ok thanks! Nice to know the history of the place. [Reply]

Good to know, thanks. Sucks getting ripped off
Yeah I agree with that. This particular engine is kinda finicky I’ve had one mechanic tell me years ago so I try to price and compare ac delco when I can. For example I put a k&n air filter in it and my MPG went way down by 7-8 mpg. Spent the extra money on ac delco a/f and it’s all I use now for a/f. Sounds strange but it just loves those filters. Helps the price with those went down over the years. And like I said it’s got Delphi now and running well so I shouldn’t really even second guess using them. [Reply]

Billay got a guaranteed look at a tbone looking up Chris farleys Ass but we here at CP prefer to take him at his word and not look for ourselves. Also Tommy just sold half a million brake pads! [Reply]
