Bring him in for a look. What can it hurt? (Smith also) Morris goes down to injury, he can fill in, OR, start if he's better and give Wanya (and Suma) some lessons on what a Pro Bowl LT knows. :-) [Reply]
This needs to happen if this guy is healthy. He is a slightly above average LT at age 30. That is unheard of to find in free agency, especially mid-season. We should literally be hunting him down like a pack of wolverines. If you can get him to sign at least a 2-year deal, you have some stability at that position going forward.
They aboslutely should be all freaking over this. [Reply]

I mean our backup LT right now appears to be Ethan Driscoll. Which is to say that Joe Thuney is probably our backup LT and Caliendo would swing in to play LG to finish out a game if Morris went down.
So I'd be fine bringing in just about anyone at this point.
But I'd bet that Andy just won't be. It's not his style. Not on the OL. He gets a little married to his WRs but he gets REAL committed to his OL. It pretty much takes an injury to get you out of the starting lineup once you get about 3-4 games into the season with the job. [Reply]

Personally, I'd give him a 2-year deal without flinching depending on his salary demands. Coming off an injury, he might just be OK with a prove it deal for the rest of the year, but it will depend on what's out there and how desperate some of these teams are.
You know Veach isn't going to offer more than a deal for the rest of this year, so hopefully he'll bet on himself and try to cash in blocking for the best QB and HC on Earth. [Reply]

Doubtful.
Any multi-year deal he signs mid-season will be pretty awful. If you're Humphries, you probably want a chance at playing time to set yourself up for a push in FA this off-season.
A multi-year deal would be a bad option for him, IMO. Because he's not going to get a strong multi-year deal with any meaningful guarantees at this point in the season. [Reply]
