Didn’t realize just how bad it could be without him and boy was it bad.
Say what you want but the kid is a functional LT that is getting better. It’s hard finding average LT’s but I’d say he’s pretty damn close to average and that’s okay.
He’s the same caliber as Donovan Smith to me but he’s young and not falling apart.
Say what you want guys….getting a functional starting LT that is steady and not a bust at the end of rd 3 is an A+ draft pick.
Believe the hit rate in rd 3 is roughly 15% so getting this type of value is a big value to us. [Reply]
I am worried about the dude’s knee. If we can’t rely on him to hold up then it’s still worth seeing who else is out there, in my opinion. Wisniewski ended up getting up to speed in plenty of time to be a factor in our Super Bowl. [Reply]
Extrapolate his pressures from games starting at OT so far over a full 17 game season and it's over 60. That's genuine worst in the league starter level. [Reply]
Right now Wanya would ideally be a swing tackle. He's adequate in spot duty and won't tank the game plan every game he's in. Suamataia shouldn't even be a game day active how he's currently playing. [Reply]

You guys want Donovan Smith back yeah?
He was top 5 in pressure % given up. I don’t see any notable difference between Smith and Wanya tbh. Well except Smith is old and falling apart. [Reply]

Donovan Smith never completely wrecked a game like Wanya has before. Wasn't just a one off either, his performance in the most recent Raiders game was nearly as bad as the debacle last year. [Reply]
LT this year may be the biggest gaffe of the Mahomes era. I just cannot fathom how the Chiefs were content to roll with Suamataia as the starter. Now they've pivoted to Wanya Morris with an apparently bum knee who's liable to drop on any given play and force Suamataia back onto the field. [Reply]

Gave up 7 pressures in week 1 last year per PFF. Got his ass kicked. Penalties that ruined drives too.
Donovan Smith called for a holding penalty that wiped out a clutch first down the Chiefs needed. pic.twitter.com/ukqfDs5ddL
Got his ass whooped badly in the SB too. Killed like 3 drives.
Donovan Smith is known for changing up his pass sets and occasionally attacking.. On this one he tries to double hand punch Chase Young, who swipes the hand and gets the sack. pic.twitter.com/oziMhkM01X
Smith wasn’t good last year. He was actively getting penalties and fucking up. And yeah Wanya has been horrific against the Raiders for some odd reason but whenever hasn’t played them he’s been about the same as Donovan Smith in my eyes [Reply]
