Nzoner's Game Room>Which NFL teams will be much better and much worse in 2024?
scho63 10:37 AM 08-25-2024
Every year we see a big turnover in which teams make the playoffs, which teams retrench and those few shockers.

On paper, the Texans look scary with what they brought in.

The Bills look like they are in for a rough year.

Vikings look average.

I think the Steelers have a horrible year and first time in Tomlin's history they are under .500

I also think the Cowboys come back to Earth.

I'm not sold on the Commanders or Falcons like some talking heads are but I think the Jets could finally have a very good year IF and it's a big IF, Rodgers is healthy.

The Bears may finally have an offense after 30 years.

The Giants, Patriots, Panthers, Saints, Titans, Cardinals, Seahawks look like shit.

The Raiders are the Raiders but they may steal a few wins as Minshew can get hot at times.

The Broncos have a much better QB in Bo Nix but not sure what else they have.

The Chargers will be 100% better coached but they have to avoid the injury bug and they appear a little older in many places with not much depth.

Eagles will go backwards in my opinion.

Rams, Tampa Bay, Lions, Browns, Miami will be about the same.

Bengals can really improve if Burrow stays upright.

Chiefs, 49'ers and Ravens are all shoe-ins for the playoffs.

So who do you think really ascends and who do you think shits the bed in 2024?

Bills will surprise.

Miami will regress. Badly.

Jets will be playing for the East title.

It will be Cincy and the Chiefs in the AFC title game.

The NFC is a collective pile of sewage, not going to comment on them. Except for the Rams. I think they might be the rep for them in the SB.

They’ve improved, but when they played an actual team they got fisted.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be much better because we now have WRs that can catch the football.

Our floor is 20-0.

I think they will be the same. They on paper should be better I just don't see any way Stroud improves a ton. Throw a complex defensive scheme at him and see if he can handle it. Im amazed by him because so far he is the dumbest QB to ever have success (besides Jim Kelly).

The Falcons, Bears, and Cardinals will all have better seasons. The NFC is a much easier conference to make a jump in wins on. The Jets will probably get more than 7 wins as well.

Just feels like a disaster season in the making for Denver.

They're a 3 win team and should be in the running for 1.1 next year

Steelers will be there with them.

I'll pick Washington to win their division and be a surprise team this year.

If I was a Ravens fan who wasn't completely delusional about Lamar Jackson, I just wouldn't trust that 'process' at all... the arrogance and meltdown in the AFCCG, followed by their 'leader' not taking that $100k bonus to show up to voluntary workouts, then having tummy aches and missing time during camp.

If Burrow stays healthy, they could easily find themselves in a WC spot much like 2020 after they went 14-2 and were point differential champs in 2019... I'm sure they can still out-talent the bottom ~25-28 teams in the league, but when you're looking at teams that have the small edge in big games and put in all the prepwork and so forth.... meh.

I assume the Bills will be fine because of Allen, even though they do have a fairly tough schedule.

The Texans will be interesting since everyone is already crowning them as some super dangerous team... they have a week 14 bye (FFS), followed by the Dolphins, @KC, Baltimore, so that's interesting. I'm kind of 50/50 on them... wouldn't be surprised if Stroud can lift them up, wouldn't be surprised if they fall back a bit this season.

There will always be that one team no one talks about much that shocks us.

No idea who might be a surprise 11-12 win team.

The Giants and Patriots could be the two teams fighting for the #1 draft pick.

If Rodgers stays healthy I could see that. Jets taking the Dolphins place and a defense-less Dolphins team that can't win under 40 falling right around .500

I think the Cowboys miss the playoffs this year.

PIT is going to be bad. 100% believe that it’ll be Tomlin’s first losing season.

DAL and PHI are both going to regress some.

Pretty sure both CAR/TEN will improve, but won’t be in the playoffs.

NYJ, if AR can stay healthy, will win the AFC-E.

TB could be a lot better in 2024. Like play in the NFCCG.

Below are Russell Wilson's presumed stats last year if he doesn't get benched at the end, so based on 15 games of data.

Passing: 3,480 Yards, 29 TDs, 9 INTs
Rushing: 386 Yards, 3 TDs

Bo Nix is going to do better than that? MUCH better? I doubt it.

Not only should we be better at catching the ball, we should have better yardage too because we greatly improved our speed. I think Mahomes is going to be putting up pinball machine numbers again.
