These contracts (Sneed, Jones, Bolton, Trey and Creed) and a rework of Mahomes contract in the next 2 years needs to get done. There is no way we can sign them all. We are going to lose at least one. We shouldn't lose a second for DHop, especially at these rates.
Paying a 34 year old WR $15 milllion could keep us from signing another.
Want to win another next year. That’s what matters now, not future contracts. [Reply]

Be nice to have DHop for a year or two though. Lotta teams seem to be dropping out of the sweepstakes already.
Given the Cardinals should have done a deal for a third pick alone the player would have to have been the worse contract on the team to be remotely believable. Would not put Gay in that box. [Reply]
That leaves Patriots, Browns, or Chiefs as the only destinations unless he can shop himself around and find some interest elsewhere.
Seems like an easy choice to me.
The fact that someone floated the Texans as interested to help with bargaining tells me that the ring chasing is not what he is about and we are most likely out. [Reply]

This other than he is 30 and wants more than what OBJ got. [Reply]

He is gonna go to the team that pays him the most. He is not going to let his desire to play for a certain QB or win a ring, affect his chance for more money. He's a "Me First" Superstar. Nothing wrong with that, but it might not fit on an a championship team wth an established formula for winning. [Reply]
Saying you're out is basically saying lower your price. Doubt it'll be the Chiefs, but the longer it plays out the better indication he's considering a one year deal. [Reply]
