𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: #Eagles DT Jalen Carter is dealing with an illness that has been spreading around the locker room, per Vic Fangio.
He was a limited participant in practice for a second straight day, but Fangio is hopeful that Carter will play in the Super Bowl. pic.twitter.com/4YR8NAFL1l

Chris Simms makes his pick official and it's no surprise because he's glazed that team harder than anyone ever has glazed a team before. What's interesting though is most media folks are overwhelmingly picking KC. Mike Florio, Mina Kimes, Ben Solak, Woody, Greeny and most of the ESPN folks. It's been shocking tbh. Tomorrow there will be more predictions but right now it's about 98% KC and even Ben Solak said to Mina kimes on her show at the superbowl media convention.."90% of everyone I talk to are picking the Chiefs".
In the end it means nothing when the teams get on the field but folks are certainly seeing a difference between these two teams. I just think experience is gonna matter and us going into Buff, Baltimore and playing San Fran last year is as tough as it gets and we prevailed. Our guys know what it takes to win on Sunday.
We might lose this game, but it ain't gonna be by 2 scores. Everyone is healthy, and we are fucking clicking in playoff time. Simms is high AF with that prediction.
I think this game looks like every other game we've played this year - close to the end and the Chiefs find a way.

Kelce. I’ve seen multiple Eagles folks argue that Blankenship is the best they have to cover him (otherwise they’re looking at Burks), but we saw Ertz put up 11/104 on Blankenship last week. Eagles fans believe this is still the best case scenario, because similar to Washington, devoting too much attention on our TE then opens up home run potential with Worthy or quick hitters to Brown. Buffalo put a lot of resources into shutting Kelce down, and we burned them time and time again for it.
To add to this, this game screams Noah Gray to me. It seems like the perfect game for him to take advantage of the soft underbelly of that D and give Pat quick outs if the pocket is collapsing on him. This game is primed for receivers who recognize open spots and settle in - something Gray has excelled at this year.
Gray or Smith-Schuster. They fill the same role in the offense, essentially. [Reply]

KC 31
Eagles 26
And yeah, the idea the Chiefs are bored is hilarious.
They looked bored, yeah, until it was time to lock it up for the stretch run.
Did they look bored when they won 3 games in 11 days? Their two best performances of the regular season were the games against the Texans and Steelers, a pair of playoff teams, and they dominated those matchups.
Did they look bored in controlling the Texans and beating them handedly? Or bored in the AFC championship round against the Bills?
Or did they look locked in AF and more dangerous and deadly than they have been all season?
The only times the Chiefs have looked bored since the point I'm pointing at were the week 18 game in which they didn't try at all, and the wild card round of the playoffs, when they had nothing to do but prep for the next two weeks.
And maybe when they're asked questions by yahoos about the refs. [Reply]

And boy would that suck
We are 3 days away from being the first team to ever three-peat. Literally nothing that other teams do will suck. Might make it harder but iron sharpens iron. Let them come. [Reply]

And the thing is Mahomes didn't even look THAT great in all of those games leading up to the AFCCG... he was obviously much better along with players getting healthy and figuring out the offensive line, but even at that 80% Mahomes (or whatever you want to call it), he was still pretty damn good and effective. The Eagles should be praying for that Mahomes.
He was scary good in the Bills game, and that wasn't even his ceiling considering the turnover and the lull in the middle of the game. [Reply]
