That's not the only one too. Even Romo was pointing out the Mecole makes things harder o Patrick by not running the correct route. After 3+ years this should not be an issue [Reply]
Yeah, that's one of those feel things that should come natural to a football player.
Romo mentioned it during the game, but Mecole's really gotta flatten that one out and head for the sideline. He's drifting upfield for no apparent reason. [Reply]

Now, let's be accurate: Romo didn't say Mecole ran the wrong route, because he didn't. He ran the route as scripted in the play.
What he didn't do was flatten it out when he saw that Pat was in trouble but scrambling to his right. Mecole should've flattened it out (I think that's almost exactly what Romo said during the broadcast) to help Mahomes out. [Reply]
