Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
"For the Kansas City Chiefs, the rookie minicamp will be held on May 6-8, this coming weekend, and will be the first official team activities for Patrick Mahomes, the team’s first round pick and young quarterback sensation. All players will be forced to report to the team on June 13-15 for mandatory minicamp, and it will be then that the team will learn of any player who is unhappy with his pay and is planning to hold out." I like 15...is there a great QB that wore 15? Not thinking of any off the top of my head.
Bart Starr.
My vote is to reassign Santos' jersey number and give the #5 to Mahomes. :-)
Or better yet, give Mahomes the #7 jersey, and then start sending Chiefs #7 jerseys to the Denver Chamber of Commerce everytime KC defeats the Broncos. :-)

I want someone that sees the field and can make the big plays when they are there, but that has the smarts to know when the play isn't there.
The good thing here is that Favre had his best seasons in terms of ball security when Reid was in Green Bay, thus having his best overall seasons.
Never understood your dislike of Favre, like you - or any of us - wouldnt be thrilled with
A Super Bowl win
A Super Bowl appearance
Three straight league MVPs
Eight division championships
As of right now, Aaron Rodgers has the same number of Super Bowl wins as Favre... Dorsey and Reid are comparing him to Favre, I dont see any reason to argue with them [Reply]
“Kansas City keeps popping into my head because I think what they did,” Mayock said. “here’s a playoff team with a really solid quarterback in Alex Smith and they still have a couple years with Alex Smith. John Dorsey and Andy Reid looked ahead and said we have to find a way to keep this train rolling. They trade up from 27 to 10 and get one of the most galvanized players int his draft in Patrick Mahomes. He’s either going to be really, really good or he’s gonna throw a lot of picks. Either way, they feel like he’s the future of that organization and I love the fact that they’re two years ahead and they made a step like that, a move like that to say to their fans, we’re going to keep competing regardless of who we have at quarterback'
Any other clowns here that want to disagree with me?? [Reply]
