Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

arm strength and baseball background Kaepernick's average fastball was 92 MPH
We all know that Mahomes fast ball averaged 95 MPH

That was the purpose of the comparison
There are a lot of big arm QB’s in football, but I do understand the baseball thing you mentioned. But just as passers in football, I think Josh Allen is more similar to Kaepernick. Huge arm with no touch and no accuracy. Pat has always had very impressive soft touch throws in his arsenal.
Pat’s accuracy while throwing on the run reminds me of Wilson or Rodgers. We gotta see over time if he can master the mental side of the game. If he does, he will be a mega star in this league. [Reply]
Like all joking aside, there is not enough time in the day to consume all the Mahomes articles, love, and stats. I actually mentally can't handle it. [Reply]

In the history of the NFL- yep, maybe some QB have had passes that react like that- Favre maybe, Marino, Brees- I don't ever remember seeing them, but chances are they did. That is some HOF company to be able to put that much velocity and arch on the ball to avoid it fluttering for an interception like we have seen so many times.
Mahomes is not even 23 years old- what is he going to be like after a few years of experience? Look how much Brady and Rogers have improved year after year as they have had every kind of defense thrown at them. Wow!
I'd never seen a slider like threw in preseason last year. That was unreal. [Reply]
