This weekend I'm going to dinner at Dominck's Steakhouse here in Scottsdale.
Begin with a Tito's dirty martini. Food start of Shishito Peppers and Braised Pork Belly apps. Ordering the Whole Colorado Rack of Lamb along with the Dominck's Potatoes and Sugar Snap Peas sides. Looks incredible! Add in the Trefethen ('16 Napa, CA) for my dinner.
PG Cigars and Macallen Scotch with my pal eDave at the Shadows Lounge to follow.
This will be a fantastic, self indulgent evening. :-)
Rack of lamb and sides,Veggie kabob. and loaded smashed...... are better at Jacks Stack, Martin City. i am not sure if they are still menu items but a phone call makes them available. [Reply]

No worries. It's a reliable conundrum. When a situation 'almost' fits a reference, do you stay true to the reference or adapt it to the situation and hope people forgive the bastardization?
Then if you overexplain you ruin the joke from the outset.

Happened tons of times.
I would probably stay true to the reference, lest the reference lose proper meaning. But I don't think it's anything to worry over. [Reply]
