I also told you he was a product of Manning and would fail miserably in Eggo. Sucks being right all the time.

I'm not going to say if you ended up being right about McCoy or not. He was snakebit with the Chargers. They led the league in players on IR the whole time he was there. And not just backups. Some of his best players kept going down. And yet they were still competitive in nearly every game. I would have liked to see what the Chargers could have done with a healthy squad before judging him. But he got canned, so who knows?

McCoy gets a little love for kicking that Donko ass on national broadcast last season...not that it was any real accomplishment.

They did beat Atlanta and Houston on the road...

Well...no shit. This writer is ripping off my material.

"The problem with this method is Denver rarely gets immediate production from its rookie class; it’s ranked 32nd in the NFL in rookie play time since 2012".

"at the end of the 2017 season, the Broncos will come up short of a playoff appearance, which will force Elway into another “code red.” And I doubt he’ll be as lucky as last time."..speaking in regards to the Texans bailing fraudboy out.

"There have been other significant changes since the Manning era — the team has altered its player procurement method. Its 2014 free-agent class — DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, Emmanuel Sanders, and T.J. Ward — proved to be the cornerstone of their Super Bowl–winning team. Since that season, the Broncos have dabbled in free agency, without the same results. "...big surprise there...Horseface doesn't have Manning to sell his BS anymore.

Elway is dead ****ing last in getting rookie production...he sucks at drafting.

Kind of amazing it took writers this long to realize that he hasn't drafted a pro-bowl player in 5 years...

Could be... sure. Lombardi really goes out on a limb. Lots of obvious things claimed in there and I honestly don't have issue with much of the article. That is a pure 'half empty glass' approach to viewing the 2017 season. There have been some ugly draft picks, no doubt... and one class was just trash.

And, after the most recent coaching staff that has just been replaced, I found this odd. "For some reason, Elway hates nostalgia. He seems to resist the temptation of walking down memory lane, even when recent history can be beneficial. Letting Wade Phillips walk out the door to Los Angeles and not hiring Shanahan signals that Elway will be his own man, with no ties to his playing past."

Didn't he kinda walk down memory lane with coaches when they won the SB?

Anyway, decent article - won't argue with most of it. And again, "Could be" is a hell of a limb to go out on...

That's the exciting part... expectations are low, great place to be with a new coaching staff and the team learning a new offense. Love it.
