It's unfortunate, but there is a fairly large contingency of NFL Fans that are complete trailer trash pieces of shit. If I'm being honest, it's one of the reasons I only go to a couple of games per year now (and I've focused almost entirely on Post Season). [Reply]
Evening all- wanted to touch base with where we are at. Unfortunately not much progress. But will provide what I know.
-Falcons are still “investigating”. Basically building their case is the best way to put it I think. I have sent them everything I know to send.
- Police report will be filed tomorrow or Monday by Tammy Southwood. A bit of a delay on this due to the passing of Tammy’s mom (sorry Tammy), and some confusion of where and how it needed filed due to the amount being over 10k.
- Claims have also been filed with banks and we are awaiting results of that.
- A petition that was previously circulated by Falcon fans has now been updated and reopened to include this situation. The petition is asking for Falcons to ban her and disassociate so that this doesn’t ever happen again. Here is the petition- please feel free to sign and share as you wish!
-Falcons fans are helping gather up some media coverage for us as well. We are also starting to reach out. We feel that will help push the criminal charges once report is filed.
A few things that we need to clarify.
- Carolyn has not contacted ANYONE. She stopped all communication day of tailgate at around 4:30 PM. There have been attempts via messenger, text, calls, emails with no response. She actually has blocked me on FB so I can’t see anything. Albeit- others can and absolutely are sending things to me. Such as events she is attending. This is helpful as she continues to tie herself to Falcons even after all this. So it’s simply adding more to the pile. If you see anything, please forward.
- Admins who were attending the tailgate, including myself, also paid for it. So we are in the same boat as all others as far as out money.
- Absolutely ALL funds received were paid back out to Carolyn 100%. There was zero funds held back. As per the contract with her.
-Funds were not paid only to me. They were funds via eventbrite and paid directly to Carolyn as well. We have full inventory of all of that to the extent I was made aware of such payments. If anyone paid Carolyn directly and did not alert myself or Tammy, please let us know. Because I want to make sure we include everyone on our accounting spreadsheet.
Appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to forge ahead to hopefully bring positive results. While we may not be providing daily updates, we are very much pushing in the background. 🫶🏻 [Reply]
The falcon lawyer staff are with us. They are working it with their big lawyer bucks. She was on their publicity stuff pre-season. She’s on billboards around town with the ATL logo on them.
Seems they have some really bad publicity coming there way if we don’t get every persons money back. Every damn cent. They are taking her season tickets soon if she doesn’t give the money back. [Reply]
As most of you know, we are working diligently to address the Chiefs vs. Atlanta tailgate matter. I want to make the following points clear:
All funds were paid to Carolyn “Birdlady” Freeman, DBA Birdlady Cares, LLC.
We understand you want your money back.
We want our money back too.
I currently do not, (and I am sure Catherine Baskett-Cook doesn’t either) have the means to repay everyone from my personal finances, the total amount exceeds $14,000. It truly sickens us that this occurred. Will continue to do what is within our power to get everyone their money returned.
No one in any of the groups associated with promoting this event benefited from the funds collected.
There was no malicious intent to scam anyone; our goal was to provide a memorable tailgate for the Kingdom Family.
Here is what has transpired to date:
A police report was filed with Zone 5 of the Atlanta Police Department. Detective Elmalik Robeson is handling the case, and the complaint number is 242811127. He has been provided with all the details of the incident, including:
The names and amounts paid by everyone who was to attend. Not sure if he will reach out to anyone directly (no direct contact information was provided).
The complaint filed with the IRS against the non-profit she claimed the funds would benefit.
The contract.
The letter to Ms. Freeman listing the specifics of the breach of contract and the demand for funds to be returned.
The voicemails she left indicating she was on her way to the event and the excuses she provided for being “late.”
The post she made in the event discussion on Facebook indicating she was enroute and images of the golf cart that was to provide shuttle service.
Pictures of her attending the Falcons game on the same date.
Photos of her to assist in identifying her during the investigation.
I did an interview with Atlanta CBS affiliate ANF (Atlanta News First) with reporter Anastassia Olmos. She is familiar with the current and past situations involving this woman and is working on an investigative piece about her actions. We provided her with:
The police complaint and the detective’s name.
All supporting documentation given to the police. Which includes he names of those affected. Not sure if she will want to reach out but just be aware (again no personal contact information was provided).
Contact information for an admin of another group that fell victim of Ms. Freeman in a similar tailgate situation.
Once her piece is completed, it will need to be approved by the news team. Fingers crossed that we can bring this to the public’s attention. She will inform us as soon as she gets word.
Regarding the Falcons, I will let Catherine provide an update on their progress. The last communication was their legal team is still gathering information and working on revoking her affiliation. While this may not directly help us recoup our funds, it will hopefully end her ability to enjoy the perks of super fandom and misrepresent her affiliation.
To those of you within the Arrowhead South Georgia Chapter who were not impacted and want to voice your “thoughts” I have been deleting and will continue to delete any comments, not useful, helpful, or aid in us retrieving the funds or bringing this woman to justice. Hopefully, this will be the last public post regarding this matter, going forward we are going to try to create a group of those who have been impacted to send via direct message. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through this terrible situation. [Reply]

The Falcons are now going after her season tickets after we showed them pics in her season ticket seats on Chiefs gameday.
What's not in that update is the police went to her house to talk to her but she wasn't home. Made me a little less angry that the police will do somethihg about this. How can you steal $14K from a group of people and get away with it? Flaunt it by going to the game on the same day? [Reply]

Just find a sucker for a group leader. Whoever is in charge over at Arrowhead Kingdom should definitely be stepping down. What a terribly run organization. The lack of any sort of research before investing 14K for some burgers and hot dogs is crazy. Has anyone started a lawsuit against the Arrowhead Kingdom group itself? Seems like whoever organized this whole mess should be involved in the legal proceedings as well. Not sure I would trust that group to handle the legal process themselves when they were the ones who created this whole mess [Reply]
