Dude is the GOAT
Yeah, it sucks but at least he is retired so we do not have to worry about him anymore but he had an incredible career so much respect to him except for his cheating [Reply]

LOL. He played great in all 3 SB wins and those SB wins were in a different era of the NFL when you could actually hit players. You have to understand when your best wide receiver in first 3 SB wins is Deion Branch who kind of flopped in Seattle, you are playing with your hands behind your back if you are a QB trying to put up numbers especially if you don't have an elite tight end.
Check out the season the patriots had before Brady was named starter. Patriots were sucking the year Brady took over for Bledsoe. And Brady leads them to a Super Bowl win his first year playing.
At some point 7 Super Bowls with only ONE of them being with a truly elite top 15 receiver isn't luck.
Tampa Bay is the only time Brady ever won with an elite receiver.
To be fair, he did have Moss who was clearly elite after Brady revitalized him from his Raiders doldrums but that was really for only 1 season when Moss was still truly close to prime Moss. Brady got hurt the next year. [Reply]
Dammit NFL Network pre-empted the Buff-KC game. I've only seen it twice and now Pioli is on my TV talking about his days in that POS organization. [Reply]

I also think Mahomes has way more competition. The AFC is loaded with very talented young QB’s. It seems like the front offices are better than they were 15 years ago as well.
People will always use the losses to Brady as some sort of way to discount Mahomes’ greatness. I have faith that the end PMII’s record of accomplishments will allow most to see through it.

It sucks he retired I wanted pat and Andy to get a super bowl victory over him. I thought this would be the year for that. [Reply]

Obviously, that is a time will tell take.
Mahomes won’t need 7 SBs to grab the title away from Brady when his career is done.
If he gets even 4 titles, puts up the stats he currently does for most of his career, and never ceases to entertain or come up clutch, people won’t care about the title difference.
They know Mahomes will have had to go up against murderers row of QBs in his own conference every season, while Brady had… uhh… Rodgers? Manning? Flacco… lol [Reply]

Typical classless Tom.
He needs to give TB time to make plans and his decision will impact his teammates so better to do it ASAP. It is the opposite of selfish. Kind of selfless.
Now is the time to do it if he doesn't want much fanfare. Those 2 games will still take centerstage and they weren't even the most hyped matchups before the SB anyways. I kind of thought he would make the announcement next Tuesday. I was 80-90% sure he would retire when he was talking about it since you don't talk about retiring if you are really interested in recruiting players to come to TB or even stay there.
It is better to retire quickly so Tampa can have a chance to move on and perhaps grab Jimmy G from the Niners or (small chance) Aaron Rodgers or Jordan Love from the Packers.
Now players like Chris Godwin can decide if he wants to stay with TB or go to a team that may have a better QB like Mac Jones! [Reply]
