So I was in Paradise Cafe today for lunch and it was jam packed. There was this guy that was sitting in a booth all by his lonesome and had a sweet lookin laptop. The dude gets a call on his cell phone and decides to take the call outside. I was perplexed because he just left his laptop all by itself. So, its now been 15 minutes and the guy is STILL outside on the phone!
I thought to myself that I really needed a new laptop and this one was there for the taking. Well, there were no cameras in there and it was so busy that no one would notice so I went up to it casually and folded it up and exited the opposite door from him. Like taking candy from a baby. :-)
And I dont feel too bad because the guy didnt have any business or work related stuff on there, just a couple of photo albums. Hey, if he is too stupid to leave his laptop alone for more than 15 minutes then he deserved it. [Reply]
There's only one really decent solution to this, my law-abiding, moral friends. Mr. fightclub1983 needs to fork over the laptop so we can replace the server with it.
I shorted the toll booth at the lake last weekend. One dollar.
The toll is 2.50, I was thinking 1.50, spaced out I handed the operator two bucks and got fifty cents back. I noticed the toll fare as I pulled away and realized quickly what I did.
I told my family to hold on and turned onto a side street to turn around and went back to give them the extra dollar.
The sad thing is, the operators were shocked that I returned, the world should be better than this. It isn't so hard to do the right thing, and if more people did it, there would be far fewer problems in the world. [Reply]

I would even go to jail to help them anyway i could.
Just depends on the situtation i was in.
I can see this, Mr. kcxiv. Sort of.
Years ago, I went through a period when I had little or no money. It was very difficult. But, I never stole. However, I can truthfully say that, if it came down to the survival of my family and I had no other options, I think I would do so.
I see this knucklehead as sort of a "puter looting dude". If he did it, he did it for no reason other than greed and the opportunity was there so he took it. If his story is true, his Chakras are screwed up worse than Mr. Redrum_69's mom's labia after a long night in the barn.

There were only a couple of photo albums of his car, cars and him and his buddies. Less than 30 pics. I am sure the guy has another computer. He seemed to be well off and its not like he cared enough for that laptop that I have now.
Saved me 800 bucks.
Nice, you sold your dignity and your personal character for $800. I guess if someone gave you $800,000 you'd suck dingdong on camera. [Reply]
