Once Kelce retires we will need to get used to having Gray and Wiley with Gray being a secondary target for Mahomes.

If Wiley was really good he would have already supplanted Gray as the TE2 IMO.
He definitely won’t be kelce. But he’s a rookie in an Andy Reid offense. And Noah gray is a solid veteran. I don’t think I agree with you that his current status says anything about his potential. Gray is a prototypical TE2. Because he does all things pretty well including all the scrappy stuff nobody pays attention to. A great asset to 2-3 TE sets. Fortson is a run blocking beast. I don’t think either gray or fortson are intended to be main receiving targets which is why they plug into those roles well.

I think we are just going to have to wait and see on Wiley. To me if he was going to be our next TE1 he would/should be more of a part of the offense already.

Unless something catastrophic happens, Andy isn't messing with the OL.

We've talked about this before, but "replacing" Kelce isn't really an issue I'd worry about as long as Andy is here. He gets production from Tight Ends. No matter who it is, just mark em down for 1k yards.

Has Reid ever had a TE go for 1k yards other than Kelce?

He's always had successful Tight ends, back to his Philly days.

Can you imagine taking Burt Vatch to a car dealer with you? You'd leave with a free car, free oil changes for life and an apology from the sales manager that they couldn't help you out more.

If me and Brent Vlach went to the car dealership together I'd just let him talk and I'd drink the free coffee and eat the peppermints

You make up the loss of Kelce by adding more weapons in general where you can.

Kelce’s last year is next year (assuming he isn’t retiring after this year). That means that after 2025 you have at least 2 years where you’re not paying Rice or Worthy anything.

Go get a guy like Diontae Johnson in FA for a 3 year deal. That cap hit next year would be low anyway. Bring back Juju as a reserve WR4/WR5 insurance policy (he’ll be cheap).

Hell bring back Hopkins too on a cheap deal if he’s cool with it. Then add another weapon in the draft

They might be successful but Kelce is the best to ever do it.

1k yards for a tight end is pretty rare. Replacing him will not be easy.

You don't try to replace a GOAT...

That's why Rice was becoming so important. He was starting to do the stuff Kelce used to in terms of chemistry with Pat. And now the hope will be the same from Hopkins.

It will be interesting to see how much improvement Wanya Morris has since that ugly game against Crosby last year.

I was kind of disappointed that Suamataia got zero offesnive snaps against the 49ers. Run blocking was supposed to be his strength (Morris's as well though), would have like to see him get SOME snaps, as it just doesn't seem that LT is Wanya's future.
