Didn’t realize just how bad it could be without him and boy was it bad.
Say what you want but the kid is a functional LT that is getting better. It’s hard finding average LT’s but I’d say he’s pretty damn close to average and that’s okay.
He’s the same caliber as Donovan Smith to me but he’s young and not falling apart.
Say what you want guys….getting a functional starting LT that is steady and not a bust at the end of rd 3 is an A+ draft pick.
Believe the hit rate in rd 3 is roughly 15% so getting this type of value is a big value to us. [Reply]
I think they are working on it. Andy hs always been one to adjust. I respect with the rookie struggling he didn't put Thuney out there. The team is 8-0, Mahomes knows how to survive and if you make thuney who is our oldest dude coming off a torn pec try and play lt, we might have lost him. If Morris can go he will go this week but I wouldn't be surprised if we move Taylor to lt before Thuney. Taylor has been swallowing dudes whole. Could be useful while morris gets better. [Reply]

I’d rather sign Robinson and use our draft picks to make the roster younger. With the last 2 drafts it’s key to hit on those 3 top 70 picks next year
And then we still might get Luke Joeckel, who seemed about as can't miss as they come.
At least through trade or free agency we know the guy won't be a bust. [Reply]

I am wondering if we could do a similar move to Orlando Brown. Is there any upcoming free agent RTs for 2026, we could trade for and move over to LT [Reply]

Guys, the Vikings aren’t trading a top-5 LT they just signed to a huge deal before the season.
And Cam Robinson had been benched before he was traded. I’m not “unloading the cap” for anyone who was benched on the Jaguars. [Reply]
People will hate this but if the Chiefs keep doing what they're doing they are going to Andrew Luck Mahomes. They need to fix this o-line in the offseason. [Reply]

I don't think the people asking for us to get Robinson have truly watched his play. He MIGHT be a shade better than Morris, but not enough to move the needle.
Again.....Robinson had a decent game the first game with the Vikings, but he got exposed against the Jags, and will be shown to be ineffective against the better rushers as the season progresses. [Reply]

Back to the LT - I do see WAnya improving. Some games are still not good, but Kingsley is BAD. And there's a difference in "not good" and BAD/ATROCIOUS.
What's even worse is that Kingsley looked every bit as bad yesterday as he did in the Bengals game. Literally not one ounce of improvement.
Wanya could end up being a decent tackle, but it's so odd to me that we've never given Pat that 10 year pro bowl caliber left tackle that most QB's get.
Because there's so many pro bowl LTs available. [Reply]

I don't think it will ever be that bad. I always felt the LT position was more of a problem than the WR room (even though that was bad last year). They skated by last year with Donovan Smith.
The other issue is Kelce is not a great blocking TE so putting him on the left side to block will help a little but not a ton.
They are stuck for the rest of the season with the Wanya/Kinglsey combo. [Reply]
Was just saying, that's where we had to get our LT. And everyone seems to think they just grow on trees.
Or that a 2nd round LT is a sure-fire thing just because some other team found a starting LT in the 3rd round this year.
It's still the draft, it's always a gamble.
I sincerely believe we're freaking out about it way more than normal because of the 3-peat possibility. We're expecting all the rookies to be starters by mid-season. It's a little unrealistic. [Reply]
