That being said, my thought for 2017 is as follows... I think it's the Raiders' division to lose at this point, I think they're the most balanced across offense, defense and special teams. I don't know what to say about the Chargers, they have been bitten by injuries and poor play through recent years. They could win 12 games, but wouldn't be shocked to see them struggle to win 8.
Chiefs and Broncos are really very similar, the success of both is dictated by the defenses. Bottom line. I don't know really what KC did to improve offensively, lots of young guys. Smith is a limiting factor, but isn't going to kill your chances.
If people want to slot Denver as the 3rd team at this point, hell put them 4th - I don't care. I believe the defense will carry them. Last year, they were killed by players like Hill and the RB in ATL. It's not trickery as some have said, it's taking advantage and exploiting coverages.
All in all, I think it will be a great year for the division with the winner likely hitting 11-12 wins and I do believe you'll see divisional splits more often than not. For KC and Denver, if there's a game where either is reliant upon their offenses to win it in the first 4-8 games, they're in trouble.
You guys keep the crotch kicking going and I'll chime in more once training camps start, but I do belive it's going to be a good year for the AFCW. Very competitive.
Teams normally struggle the year they overhaul their coaching staff. I think the Donkeys get a rude awakening this year. [Reply]

Last time Denver overhauled their coaching staff they won Super Bowl 50. [Reply]
Broncos have a zero % chance of winning the SB this year just like the rest of the division. The Raiders might make the AFCCG but it's basically the same as last year.

Steelers and Pats
Defense always gives you a chance. If Denver gets into the playoffs with a healthy defense, they can beat anyone.
When we played NE last year we held them to 16 points. [Reply]

No more Ware and Wade.
Meh. CP said before the 2015 season that Denver's D would be shit because, "Wolfe and Malik Jackson aren't 3-4 DE's and Denver doesn't have a true NT".
If the Gotsis hype is real Denver will be in excellent shape on defense.McShay said Gotsis reminded him of Malik Jackson. [Reply]

Broncos can't compete with the elite of the NFL the same as the Chiefs. Your homer mind will either accept that the hard way or the easy way.

If that crap teams finishes at .500, they over-achieved and got some breaks.
The high point of last season was beating the JJ Watt-less Texans and the Carr-less Raiders. The rest of the wins came against scrub teams.
Your defense is done...Wade and Ware left.
Semen-boy isn't exactly a media darling....Donko fans still haven't wrapped their head around that yet. The miracle 4th quarter calls are over. [Reply]

Most likely the hard way.
So, KC will show everyone how it's done in week one right?
I don't have delusions of SB glory this year, not even predicting a division title. They will compete for it though and should be in the playoff hunt through the final week.
Hedging my bets? Sure. As mentioned before, lots of change with coaches and several new players. They're not going to suck, as BlackTop predicts...
10 wins is where I think they end up. The defense is still top tier and that's going to be the difference. [Reply]
