I know there are enough of us to participate in this thread, even when our seasons inevitably go to shit.
KSU vs Western Illinois today, tip-off at 3:00 pm.
One thing I noticed near the end of the game on Friday night - we had 5 true freshman on the court, and still played sound basketball. None of them were scrub walk-ons either. While I don't think we will make a serious run at anything this year, the foundation is being laid for a solid program in the future. [Reply]

True, but I think Frank & Currie have an understanding that the practice facility is more important than the contract, at least at this point. Don't be surprised to see basketball ticket prices jump next year, as I think they should, which may help with some of the money issues. Of course, that's next year and a long way off, which may be too late. My point is, if alumni are willing to pay for tickets, maybe they'll be willing to donate to keep Frank around long-term.
I think/hope Currie realizes how important Frank's accomplishments are and finds some way to pay him (hell, give him a secret contract, I don't care). I grew up with Asbury, Wooldridge and a lot of losing and don't think I can take any more of it after just 3/4 years of good basketball.
I dunno, maybe I'm just way too optimistic about the whole thing and should prepare for losing Frank... I just don't want to think about it... [Reply]

I'm banned over there. KUSports is definitely unhealthily obsessed with us though. People still starting threads complaing about 1) our pregame video 2) the officiating 3) the crowd. [Reply]
