Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

This x 11ty biliion. Dude ran a quarter's worth of scripted plays and didn't fuck up under a shaky oline. This whole "the pressure is mounting" narrative is the dumbest shit I've heard in a long while. [Reply]

Give me a fuckin break!
He looked like a rookie. Less comfortable than the Denver game. Part of it was play calling. Its the pre-season so he had to work with vanilla plays.
People were just expecting "wow" like the Denver game. I just don't think Mahomes functions very well when he has to work with vanilla plays. He probably got orders, this is the first game we are just going to run some vanilla plays, don't do anything stupid. [Reply]

My concern isn't with Mahomes but our line. [Reply]

There is no enjoying the preseason. It's all we have to base how our entire season will turn out on.
0-16 here we come.
0-20 I guess, can't see us pulling out one of those important Pre-W's. [Reply]
Mahomes played like Alex Smith last night. Which in small doses is all right. Just didn't get the big flashy plays that we want. Which will come in the regular season big time. [Reply]

And you are correct to be concerned. It was dominated by the Texans make-shift D-line. Schwartz got abused a couple times by JJ Watt's Backup. The left side couldn't hold blocks well either. Push up the middle several times. Mahomes had no time. Every year there are concerns about the OL. It's year 6 of Reid. PLENTY of time to have built a good OL. [Reply]

And in his defense, he didn't. He had the chance, but instead of trying to force something - he protected the ball and took the sack. [Reply]
