Girl's basketball coach arrested for sex with student

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WTVA) – A girl's basketball coach in Pickens County was arrested late Monday for sex with a student.

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Department states that 30-year-old Charli Parker, a faculty member at Pickens Academy, was arrested on Monday at 11:45 p.m.

She is officially charged with school employee having sex with a student.

District Attorny Chris McCool states that the victim is a male student under the age of 19. The sex acts involved did not occur at the school.

This arrest was the result of an invetigation conducted by the Pickens County Sheriff's Department. The investigation is ongoing.

The department says Parker is no longer in jail.

According to Pickens Academy’s website, Parker is listed as the head girls basketball coach, P.E. teacher and “elementary computers.”

The charge is a class B felony, which carries a potential sentence of two to 20 years in the state penitentiary.

If that kid is 18 and she gets a mandatory 2 years for that shit someone needs their ass kicked(preferably the guy who wrote up the law). Have these types of laws been challenged yet?
