I used to have a pointer but I'm all setters theses days. I like their personality as compared to pointers. I like all hunting dogs though.

Took the all the dogs out today along with my 16 year old "step" grandson. He's a ginger but he didn't like it so died his hair and got some dreads. LOL Kids!

If you numbered the dogs left to right which one is the head honcho? Just guessing because I love dogs and consider myself a good judge.

I say 2 is head honcho, smartest is 4

#1 is the female and the Dam to #2 who is barley a year old. #3 is the uncle to the pup and #4 is the Sire. #4 was the alpha but he pup will challenge him before it's said and done. He very well may become the alpha. #4 At this point is the best hunting dog of the bunch. Smartest? Probably #1, the female.

I took my dog Guss and ran my first dog trial today. We were entered in the Amateur Division in a NUCS event. http://www.uplandclassic.com/index.html

I think we ended up 5th in our division which I was proud of.

then while driving out from the fields I saw this Bald Eagle sitting in this pasture.

Kind of rare for SW MO.

It's a crappy pic but Hey :-)
