With RB Isiah Pacheco expected to be sideliend 6-8 weeks, the Chiefs are bringing their former RB Kareem Hunt back to Kansas City for a Tuesday visit, per league sources. Hunt could help fill the Chiefs’ running back void. pic.twitter.com/nDzNGlrcuH
He had multiple incidents, not just the hotel incident caught on video. I said at the time that the kid needed to "bottom out" so that he would realize he had a problem and actually take the steps to get better.
He did that. It took a while but he did it. Now he gets to be a true redemption story. It ended up working out for all parties. [Reply]

I mean, Hunt lost probably 10s of millions of dollars and very possibly a couple of SB rings.
"working out" isn't exactly how I'd put it...but it could've been worse. [Reply]

I think that's kinda 'maqe's point, though.
That's the kind of thing that someone who NEEDED to be knocked down a peg or two would've done.
I don't think he's a sympathetic figure in all of this - because even AFTER this, he had some pretty damn odd decisions that showed a clear maturity issue.
Something needed to change.
But you can still appreciate that it did and he now finds himself on the verge of fulfilling a lifelong dream. [Reply]

Of course. You kind of need to fuck up to even have a redemption arc. But there's a ton of folks here that STILL want to hand wave away what he did and act like he was a victim of unfortunate circumstances, which is complete and utter bullshit. [Reply]
