Just like #ChiefsKingdom has always been there for me and my family, we want to be there for them.❤️
The @Chiefs have launched #KCStrong, an emergency response fund supporting victims and their families, violence prevention and mental health services, and first responders.… pic.twitter.com/sYMnPgCWL0
Friendly mod reminder, this thread is about yesterday's shooting. Not about gun control, gun laws, politics, or anything of that nature. If you need everyone to know what's wrong in this world and how you'd fix it, grab your megaphone and soapbox and take it to DC, thanks. [Reply]

But I’m sure someone will tell me that those people don’t exist.
There are probably some people like that but I would bet that they are extremely rare. [Reply]

You guys are making an inane distinction. It doesn't matter what "shirt they wear" in the sum of things. In a gang or not in a gang, the shooters are psychopaths. If they hadn't done it then they would have done it somewhere else at some other time and statistically probably have already committed such acts or witnessed such acts. [Reply]

Yeah, I know. And perhaps I'm being too critical. But it happened right up front. Did nobody notice that things were getting heated? I would think that there would be police/security looking over the crowd for signs of this very type of thing, especially since the players were on the stage.
You ever notice those guys around Mahomes after games? Those are security guys and they are looking over the crowd for signs of people with bad intentions. [Reply]

The young kid tackled appeared to have an illegally modified firearm so it is more likely he could be in a gang
But some accounts say the big guy returned fire. How do we know he didn’t have a legal firearm and was defending himself?
All the people in this thread saying they themselves had
guns at the parade legally, why assume the big guy didn’t have a gun there legally? ( I personally think no one should be bringing firearms to a parade, but legally they can)
Truth is no one knows and can’t identify good guy v bad gu, and the very assumption that the guy that got shot at was a gang member shows that [Reply]

When I say "shooters" I mean the aggressors, not someone legally defending themselves. [Reply]

What a man showing his kids how big of a badass he is instead of just getting them to a safer location. Seems like it worked out well.
Yea, it wasn't very good judgement to take young kids like that to a parade. No way I would have did that unless it was at the start of the route our something where you could get in get out see the buses and move on. I shared his post because it seemed weird with all the law enforcement that was said to be there that it was pretty chaotic at that intersection before the ceremony started. As I also said, it validates what I saw on TV when Jesse Palmer, from the NFL Network, was pelted in the back of the head with something when they first came on air. [Reply]
