BBQ Vienna Sausages and a hand full of Chicken in a Biscuit crackers. Canned a bunch of shit all day. Last thing I wanted to do was stand over the stove some more. [Reply]

Pork loin rubbed in rosemary, thyme, garlic and olive oil. Made a past of it and stuck it in slats. Roasted acorn squash rubbed with applesauce, cinnamon, nutmeg with chopped apples. Mashed potatoes with a wine sauce; green beans, mushrooms and roasted small white onions.
OH MY GOD YOU DIRTY LITTLE PORK SLUT! I WANNA MARRY YOU AFTER THOSE TWO PICTURES! :-)
That is not fair and I will be downloading that first photo of the pork loin to fap to. It's all your fault!

Actually the ice cream was Ben & Jerrys. I don't have an ice cream maker, but that does sound like a good idea... [Reply]

Good call on the avocado, I'll try that next time. The smoked chicken was a nice touch, but I'll probably sub in a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store whenever I don't feel like messing with the smoker. [Reply]

Because I can't find amaretto flavored gelato anywhere, I decided to finally make my own. I had it at the Charlotte airport once and it was awesome. Serious Eats is an excellent site for guiding you through the myths and pitfalls of ice-cream making through several articles.
Made brunch for the lady today. Black garlic puree stir fry with smoked pork belly and a sous vide poached egg. Used some red bell pepper and green onion we had on-hand. Pretty happy with it.
