Go ahead. Blitz the A gap. Reid will implement bootlegs and let Mahomes do his thing outside the pocket, where he's really special.

He already proved capable of beating the A gap blitz from inside the pocket when he lofted that beauty to Albert Wilson over the middle of the field. He can handle it many ways I’d say.

ESPN released a list ranking the NFL quarterbacks. I already know I'll be pissed at Mahomes' ranking. I'm expecting them to do some stupid shit like rank Darnold and Rosen above Mahomes.

Fourth tier with AJ McCarron and Trubisky.

We've got every team covered here, with candid insights from the 50 voters. The results provide a composite for how the league views its quarterbacks.

We start at the top.

Note: Because the fourth tier is reserved not only for lesser veteran quarterbacks but also for those without enough playing time to evaluate, exciting young prospects can lag in the rankings. Patrick Mahomes (one career start) is one example this year. Many voters who placed him in the fourth tier think he'll be better, but they reserved judgment in the absence of sufficient evidence.

He'll be ranked somewhere around 17. It's ESPN and it's the Chiefs.

He'll be in the top 5 come December.

I actually liked Schien a few years back on ‘Inside the NFL’ on HBO. Most people didn’t, but I thought he was pretty detailed with his opinions. He clearly knew his stuff and did research.

With Ware and Morse back, the Chiefs could have a very good power running game. Hunt and Ware will be a devastating one, two punch. Teams will have to respect it or face a lot of 2nd and short yardage situations which should play into Andy's game plan perfectly.

2nd and 3- How will teams cover this?

Stuff the line after a big run on first down and don't leave any help over the top on Hill.

Play the pass and try to double Kelce? Let a LB spy Mahomes so he doesn't just run around the end for the 1st down? Play man coverage on Watkins so he can't run a quick slant and turn it into a big play? How about Hunt coming out of the backfield for a quick screen pass?

Our running game is not getting much attention. We gashed teams for over 150 yards a game for the first 5 games until Morse was hurt. Now he is back. Mahomes is going to have a lot of options on short yardage situations.
