Mayo is so much more than that. And he's easy better than Timberlake was, especially on the defensive end.
Much better I agree but the 3s arent falling yet. Didnt expect him to be as well rounded player as he is. Hes super crafty inside the lane and a good rebounder. Solid play maker. [Reply]

No. They would not. He isn't ready for that.
I do. Or at least it would be a wash. If Flory played Dickinson minutes and Dickinson got Flory minutes we might even be better at the end of the year instead of just as good. Flory has been that good. Not an indictment on Hunter but a superlative on how good Bidunga has been. [Reply]

You do realize they were hanging on for dear life after Dickinson left the game vs Duke, right? They wouldn't even dump it down to Bidunga because he kept fumbling entry passes. A freshman who can't catch an entry pass is going to win KU more games than an All American with elite scoring/rebounding ability? Now there's a hot take. [Reply]

If you aren't impressed with Flory I don't know what to tell you.
Avgs more points, more rebounds, more blocks per minute than Dickinson. His efficiency can make up for the lack of him having a 3 point shot. Once he learns defensive positioning he will be even better. He's only going to get better. When he is on the court its also more difficult for the opposing team to shoot 3s since hes a more versatile defender. We are sometimes prone to that when Dickinson is in but I honestly think Dickinson is an underrated defender to some degree. [Reply]

Damn BWillie, I agree he is going to get better, can be extremely dominating in time, but we are not there yet!
We all like what we see in him now but THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
FTR, you can not expect him to be better than an multiple All American this early in his career!
But it is very promising!
Flory has been BETTER offensively than Dickinson so far. I did NOT expect that. I expected him to be more raw there and be more dominant on defense. If there is anything he can improve it is easy stuff that just goes along with playing for Bill Self over time. Defensive positioning, film study, etc.
He has a better offensive rating than Dickinson. Even gets to the FT line a little more than Hunter. Now perhaps there will be a regression but so far that is the big story. [Reply]

Dickinson is currently 3rd in KPOY standings and analytically he’s easily a top 5 player in college basketball, so this idea makes no sense [Reply]

How many double/triple teams does Bidunga draw? Again, they can't even trust him to catch an entry pass at this point. And if they could, they still wouldn't run the offense through him because he has no reliable post moves at this point. He's a rim-protector who can thrown down lobs.
I can't imagine watching Bidunga and thinking "that guy's more polished than our All-American center who gets doubled or tripled every time he catches the ball." [Reply]
