This reminds me of probably my favorite Italian dish; Orecchiette pasta with broccoli rabe, sweet Italian sausage, red chili flakes, pieces of roasted garlic, extra virgin olive oil and shaved Parmesan Romano cheese. I could eat 5 pounds of it! :-) [Reply]

The origin of me making the dish started with broccoli rabe but I have trouble finding it at the store sometimes so I tried kale instead.
Basically minced garlic in olive oil add hot italian sausage and cook through. Add kale and let wilt down, add 1/2 pint heavy cream and a handful of parmesan. Then add pasta of choice. [Reply]
Lazy mans gourmet delight tonight, picked up two boxes of frozen shrimp from Aldis today... they're bacon wrapped, and stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese
Very impressed with their size, these are some honking big shrimp, fat and full bacon slices and theres no shortage of stuffing either... shove them in the oven for 20 minutes and boom, a delicious meal with no effort [Reply]
Tried my hand at shrimp and cheese grits after seeing Timbone's pic awhile back. Did half gouda and half sharp cheddar for the cheeses. Shrimp is cajun seasoned and grilled. Turned out really well with the gouda, although I didn't care for the cajun seasoning I used.
Had me a beef, dipped, hot & sweet with provolone from a neighborhood spot for lunch.

Thanks. Feel like I need to back off the grits after this before I get burnout though. Save them for some cooler weather evenings. Disappointed I went this long without knowing their comfort and goodness. [Reply]
Just passing on something for you guys to try. I saw this many times in the grocery aisle but it just sounded weird to me. Why the need to mix the two?
Guacamole Salsa and really this stuff is fantastic. Pick some up next time in the Mexican aisle. It goes great as a dip or topped on anything Mexican.
