I've done well more than break even. I made another $3k just on an AMC swing trade from Wed to yesterday. $1k/day for a few button clicks and some conviction. This shit isn't that hard. [Reply]

You're SELLING? What happened to the moon?
(But seriously, I have no issue with that strategy. It makes a hell of a lot more sense than holding on to it forever in hopes that it one day goes nuts.) [Reply]

You green on YTD gains overall in your account? [Reply]

I still have my base shares that I'm holding until it moons...and yes it will eventually.
But I bought another lot when it got below $23 on Wed then sold it yesterday at $30 even.

Overall I am, especially after yesterday. I haven't done a lot of trading for the last few months though. This market sucks ass overall. [Reply]

Yeah?
I liked Disney when they had things rolling out during the pandemic when there was NOTHING on. I figured it would drive subscribers to Disney+ but the stock did nothing. I was off the top $5 or something and managed to get out in the green, but motherfucker I was sure that would run, scare had come off parks, IDK I was wrong on that.
What are you seeing? You thinking it's going to close the gap? If it takes out the low it might get ugly. [Reply]

Can't make this shit up.
Yes and no.
The concern isn’t with increased severity. The concerns are possible restrictions around the world where healthcare systems are being maxed out again. National guard being called into numerous states again and many states like AZ back near 100% capacity (beds in hallways in many ERs here) while dealing with staffing shortages. And currently the USA hospital system is fairing better than many European counterparts.
It’s the fear of the unknown the market isn’t liking. [Reply]

We are overblowing a lot of that fear. Delta is still the Covid threat. Our system is filling up beds too but Covid is not the only reason despite news porn.
The restrictions are going in right now out of fear of what might be not what is. Nothing to do but you are correct, fear of the unknown is what is spooking the market. [Reply]

That’s the best plan.
It feels much worse to work hard for gains for months, only to attempt to trade in a down market, seeing you give back months of gains in a week or two. [Reply]
