Year Two of the Matt Quatraro tenure. Time to take a step up this year. Active in free agency and trades this offseason. A new look pitching rotation and bullpen. Will the young players take the leap up offensively? Bobby Witt extension? New stadium? Will Vinny recover from injury? Salvy taking aim at the Royals record book? Will Cole Ragans turn into the best Royals starting pitcher since Greinke 1.0?

Where's that guy who hates Justin Watson to pump sunshine up our ass and give us numbers showing how the offense actually isn't God awful?

They have the 4th highest run differential in the AL and the 6th/7th highest in the MLB. They have the 4th best record in the AL and the 7th best in the ML. They're 5th in the entire ML in runs scored and 11th in runs allowed. They are 25-14 at home and 15-16 on the road.
So how the fuck is this team not a contender?

You can't even compare the two situations.

Oh you're one of those douches that loves for the team to suck so you can say I told you so? It's a bad stretch. It happens in baseball. Kill yourself douche bag.

I’m sorry guys. This happens every time I pay for Bally’s sports app. The good news is my subscription expires soon. I fully expect us to start winning again shortly after the Fourth of July. Until then, my bad. [Reply]

Your bad stretch should come against good teams, but when you're playing with no life against losing teams and your bullpen is crap and there is no help in sight then yes the team is falling apart. [Reply]
This is just not surprising to me. This team was obviously overachieving. Their hitting with RISP in scoring position and starting pitching was never going to be replicated. This is still a great season for them and this regression was always coming. Which is why simply pointing this out earlier in the season and then being shit on about it was so annoying. [Reply]

Past 2/3 weeks have mostly sucked. Frustrating to say the least. But I don’t think we’re doomed. However, I do think the time to get some relievers was in early May. We don’t have a lot to make a deal, and every team out there looking to trade has all the leverage and is gonna put us over the barrel.
We’re ice cold right now, but I still think this team is capable of going on another run or two. Our starting pitching is still solid, and Ragans/Lugo are both capable of ending losing streaks, so we have that. Just need to stop giving up all these goddamn home runs. Defense needs to tighten back up and our offense needs to get going again. I have zero faith in this bullpen, but even those jokers could get lucky for a few weeks.
Texas always seems to have our number, so I’m really not surprised by this weekend’s outcome. Let’s get home, and do some damage against the Marlins and Cleveland. Cmon gang, it’s baseball! Things get weird, and as bad of stretch this has been, we’re still over .500, in contention for a playoff spot and we have one of the most dynamic players in the game. It ain’t over! LFG!!!! [Reply]
Royals are probably not as bad as they’ve played the last few weeks. And they probably aren’t as good as they were playing during April and May. They are probably closer to a .500 team. Which is fine. If they play at a .500 clip until the last few weeks of the season, they will have an opportunity to get hot and nab a WC spot. [Reply]
