I cooked for the first time in 7 years. Wagyu compliments of Snake River Farms. It was delicious. Not sure what the point in owning a grill is if I can just use a cast iron pan and an over. Came out just like I expect from a steakhouse although it was a little too medium to medium well than my liking.

You’re peeing sitting down until you learn how to cook wagyu without overcooking it.
I think I have it all figured out next time. The recipe I followed said to put it in the oven for 10-20 minutes after you sear it. I only did 11 minutes, and thank god only that much. I like my steak medium rare. [Reply]

Try reverse sear. I think it’s safer for over-cooking like that since the oven heat when it’s out of your eyesight is when it’s cold from the fridge. [Reply]
