When a player has a singular ability, it does something strange to our perception of said player. While we talk in hushed, awestricken voices about that singular talent, we tend to downplay other areas and strengths in that player’s game.
Let’s use an easy example for Chiefs fans. Whenever Jamaal Charles was brought up, it was about his breakaway speed. Everyone knew it. That’s been the whole point of the Beyond The Arm series: to turn the focus towards Mahomes’ many qualities beyond arm strength that aren’t talked about. It’s especially extreme when it comes to the qualities I want to address today: intangibles and football intelligence.
Mahomes even demonstrated his mental prowess in other sports. His high school baseball coach said this of him, “he’s the smartest baseball player I’ve ever coached. He’s like having a coach out there.”
He’s been with her since early high school days... don’t expect that to end at this point. Good for them. Says quite a bit about his character when he could have about anyone he wants really. [Reply]

I've never understood the upgrade mindset.
I can understand if you aren't a good fit to begin with, like if you have a bigger libido than your partner. Or I can understand if you find yourself sequestered with someone irresistible, like actors on movie sets. Heck, I can even sort of understand somewhere down the line, maybe she's now in her late 40s and you realize you still are attracted to gals in their 20s.
But I don't understand if a girl is hot enough and compatible enough at one moment, how you need hot[ter] and [more] compatible if you get more money or power. As was once said by the wise Nathan Fielder "women make up some of the prettiest humans on earth." [Reply]
