Even if Pat played for another team I don't think I could dislike him.

Maybe Denver, but it would be tough.

It would be horrifying not to have him. Who would we have? Smith still, stuck in neutral knowing you have no chance for a future.

I think I’d still like him simply because I loved him so much during the pre-draft process. But goodness would I be sick had he gotten to a division rival.

I also don’t know that he reaches his ceiling or even close to it in Denver, though.

KC is the perfect spot for a young QB right now.

Pat is one lucky SOB. He has Andy, a good OL, Watkins, Kelce, Hunt and Hill here. Also got to learn from Alex.

If we wouldn’t have taken him at 10, the Saints would have at 11.

Sean Payton, learning from Brees, a very good OL, Kamara, Thomas, Ingram. He would have been set there too.

He’s hard not to like.

Ughhh....imagine if we still had Smith, no Mahomes AND the draft class we just had? There would be NO excitement coming into this season.

Which raises a fun question.

If the Saints had Mahomes, would they have let Brees walk this year assuming Brees wanted to return.

Well, if the Saints has taken Mahomes over Lattimore, I’m not sure they make the playoffs last year altogether. Maybe they do as a WC I suppose.

It would have changed a lot of things. But yes they undoubtedly would have moved on rather than pay him $25M per year.

I'm sure it'll come as no surprise, but Peter Schrager named him the #1 break out candidate this year on GMFB

Peter Schrager is just as big of a Mahomie as the rest of us, which is awesome.

That it is. Not that we need the validity, but it is nice having someone in the media just as excited as us. When he talks about Pat his eyes twinkle and his face lights up. Pretty neat
