Playcalling is not the reason we averaged 4.1 yards per play. There is an elephant in the room this season and it is offensive line play (both LT and RT) and the effect it's had on Mahomes' pocket presence. We are bottom-tier offensively. Run, pass, it doesn't matter -- there are no big plays or easy throws like you see with decent to good offense. Our offense is one of the worst in the league. (If you deny that, you simply don't watch much football. Sorry.)
On the flip side, our D was spectacular today. One of the best performances I can remember.

To put it in perspective how godawful our offense is, you have to go back to 2012 for the Chiefs to be this bad in yards per play. *2012*. LT is worst in the league; RT is terrible. All the money spent on the interior doesn't even make a difference if your tackles are as bad as ours. New England's offensive line is supposedly just absolutely brutally bad, and we're just marginally better in yards per play.
Everyone is rightly concerned with the injury status of Mahomes, but DJ being anywhere near a 100% for the playoffs is huge, too. He could make all the difference.

Umm wut?
We have our tackle issues.
You know how you help?
Adjust to 3 step drops..Quick throws and run the ball.
That is all on the coaching.
Patrick also needs to do this for his own protection.
I will say though I am hoping most of the missed throws last week were to the wind and moisture.
For some reason we abandoned the run. It was more effective than our passing.
-1, 6, 12, 7, -1, 8, 1, 4, 11, 7, 1, 9, 3, -1, 2, 4, 4, 21, 0, 1, -2, 3, 0, 5, 2, 0, 1, 11.
Most of our stops are from obvious rushing downs or galling. And the fact we always run from shotgun imo.
