They are good and tough, noon game at Arrowhead. Your thoughts?

The extra playoff game actually matters. These games don’t. We can lose them and be no worse for it.

The decision comes down to prioritizing Mahomes’ health a month from now over potentially losing the #1 seed.

Considering we can win a SB without the #1 seed but not without Mahomes, I think the answer is obvious and I fully expect the Chiefs to reach that conclusion too if Mahomes is not near 100% by Saturday.

when i say comfortably i don’t mean a blowout. it’ll probably be a game that is close for most of it but at the end of the day i expect us to control the flow and i’m pretty certain there will be an opportunity for us to put this game away at the end.

3.5 weeks off. Their next meaningful game would be 1/18. So 25 days.

They do matter. The #1 seed matters. They did the near impossible last year winning in the road like that.

Losing the #1 seed is the definition of "worse for wear".

I actually think some people don't really understand that this team isn't going to the SB without the #1 seed.

The early season bye mixed with the extra games from back to back SB's has the team needing the week off kinda badly.

So you think they should just give up and be the #3 seed then? Weird plan.

You're assuming that playing Mahomes equals him not playing in the playoffs. That's just plain old defeatism.

Just bubble-wrap the entire 22 starting roster...rest for a month, become the 2 seed and still have the 2nd best season of the Mahomes era at 13-4

Still get 2 home games...

I mean...that scenario is about as realistic as Mahomes sitting out.

You'd be the 3 cause you'd lose to the Steelers...

"If Mahomes plays, he's gonna get hurt!"

"Start Wentz, he can beat the Texans"

Can somebody explain this to me? With Mahomes' injury, people automatically assume the worst. But Wentz winning a game? That's almost a sure thing. People have lost their minds.

Well see if we just implement the white boy Carson-Carson offense we'd be much better.

Well you are giving them our game so that's then 2 more...which the Bengals shit their pants and fuck up constantly and the Ravens suck against them so it's actually pretty possible they win 13 games.

It's not defeatism. It's mitigating risk.
