I mean it’s not enough to quit my job or anything but it’s not insignificant either. Also want to prove to those losers like DanT that it is possible to make money long term at this. [Reply]

I’ll say another thing you won’t believe, I have a 91% win rate in 2024 at Baccarat as well.

Never said it was impossible.
I said the gambling servers have more resources than their victims. The are glad when the bettors/addicts keep playing, because those random walks overwhelmingly go in the servers' favor at some point. They can and frequently do get it back and more from people temporarily ahead. If they didn't, they wouldn't be in business. [Reply]

$25. They also will always have a $100 table open. But I wouldn’t recommend Ballys honestly. I gave it a fair shake for a while and realized I didn’t like the place so used up my free bets and haven’t been back in a month. Argosy is a bit more professional. [Reply]

I usually go to Hollywood but I swear the baccarat table is never open. I forgot that I played at Ameristar over the summer but they only had a 50/min table on the main floor. I don't play long baccarat sessions but I like to hit and run. [Reply]

You have to itemize your taxes to deduct losses from winnings (I don't itemize). So there is potentially a large tax bill due - for all the winners out there.

Gambling losses
You may deduct gambling losses only if you itemize your deductions on Schedule A (Form 1040) and kept a record of your winnings and losses. The amount of losses you deduct can't be more than the amount of gambling income you reported on your return. Claim your gambling losses up to the amount of winnings, as "Other Itemized Deductions."
I've read that Lotto winners can deduct the cost of their tickets (winning or losing) from the cost of the winnings when they're filling out their taxes. The marginal tax benefit of a $1 ticket is going to be about 42 cents for the winner if you assume a 37 percent federal tax and 5 percent state tax.
There's no record of who buys which tickets, so there's a business model where I could buy people's losing tickets for 5 cents each and then sell them to big lottery winners for 25 cents each. It's none of my business what they do with the tickets after they buy them. [Reply]

So the Hollywood baccarat is only open on Friday and Saturday nights. So if you went any other time if day or week it’s closed. Also if you care, when it comes to free bets on the Kansas side they won’t double what the coupon shows. A $30 free bet only earns you $30 whereas on the Missouri side it doubles and would be $60 profit if you win.
It’s hard to find any baccarat table under $25 anymore. Vegas has a few. [Reply]
How do itemized deductions work? I've had years in the past where I won $10 or 15k in W2's at casinos. I never had taxes taken out so always had to pay up at tax time.
Is there something I could have done differently to avoid paying taxes? I obviously lost a lot more than I won. [Reply]
I couldn't find SHIT in Vegas under $100/min that wasn't video. If I'm gonna play shitty video pit games I can do it from the comfort of my living room online.

But gambling in Vegas is awful now.
The Luxor and I believe Paris have $15 tables during certain times of day. And if you get up to Fremont st they have a $10 table that was pretty fun to hang out at inside of El Cortez.
Just hard to find tables under $25 ever since Covid really. [Reply]
