TL;DR, his concern was at a 2, and now it's a 4 (out of 10). Still probably not a huge deal, but there are some concerning possibilities. Overall, though, he thinks it all gets pled down to misdemeanors, he misses a couple of games, and he writes some massive checks to those he injured.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is pretty much the only blemish on an otherwise clean record. Seems like a “scare him by filing a lot of charges” only to drop most of them and lower the charge on the ones that stick, as long as he doesn’t fuck yo again with a certain established amount of time. Yep, it's pretty standard... they already know which ones will stick and which ones have no shot in hell, but gives them leverage in a plea and probably leverage if he fucks up again.
