To our best knowledge (basically, Bwana), Skip Towne passed away on March 24, 2023. I didn't exactly have the most positive run-ins with him, but everyone who was anyone on here in the beginning deserves a thread in the In Memoriam forum.

Last interaction I can find with Skip was when he gave me positive rep for creating and posting this image from way back when Clay was obsessed with Geno Smith in 2013.

I kinda remember a little n00b stuff from Skip when I went from lurker to poster, but mostly it was harmless. He was a good litmus test for whether people should bother sticking around. Wish he would have stopped by sometime before he passed. Anyone who posted through all those dark days deserved a victory lap. R.I.P [Reply]
I wonder if Skip ever would have come around to my hatred of megathreads. He LOVED his 100+ post threads back in the day, but these days it seems like people would rather have giant threads than small threads.
