First of all, Bill Belicheck and Dak Prescott is a hell of a lot better than Brian Daboll and Daniel Jones.
They already have an elite LT in Andrew Thomas locked up until 2030 and just drafted Malik Nabers. They've got high end talent at the most important positions already.
As far as the defense goes, have you not seen their personnel? It's pretty fucking bananas, especially in the front 7.

Burns

There's already a fuck ton of talent there for Belicheck to mold. [Reply]
Giants desperately wanted Maye but the Patriots wisely turned down all offers. Penix is interesting but I don’t think his ceiling is very high.
Giants are the perfect example of QB purgatory. They were really bad and still couldn’t get any of the top 3 QB’s.
Those types of teams don’t have a choice. It’s either:
A. Keep an average but not great QB or system QB….Tua, Danny dimes, Geno, Dak etc
B. Bring in a cheap option…Russ, Lock, Howell, Z Wilson, Minschew
C. Risk it all on a lesser rated QB like Bo Nix [Reply]

Yeah, they have some good pieces on defense, and they might have something in Nabors. But they still would have to find a top OC and a RB, and they just gave away maybe the 2nd or 3rd best RB in the league. And Dak has to have a great running game behind him because he ain't going to win a lot of games without that.
Not that it matters; they're stuck with Danny for awhile yet, and you can't fix Danny. [Reply]
14th in the league is top half, no? I didn't say it had to be the best running attack; but it does have to be better than average, or 'top-half' of the league. Conversely, we can go back and check out his efficiency when he didn't have a top running game; he wasn't good.
I must've misread his details on Spotrac; I thought they couldn't do that until 2026. Even then, $20M is not a small hit. [Reply]
I like Singletary, from what I've seen anyway. Has some good burst, shows good balance after contact, good vision (from the few times I've watched him play), can make some plays out of the backfield. Never crossed 1K or scored double digit TDs, and he's a touch small, but overall he looks like a good RB. [Reply]

Yet again for the millionth time CP overreacts to the headline with no proof. Love’s cap hits are extremely friendly. He’s only a top 5 paid QB by cap hit in 2028 with the one inflated year, which could easily be redone like we do.

Still not sold on Jordan Love. They jumped the gun on this. He will be the Dak Prescott of the NFC North IMO. Yes Love kicked Dak in the playoffs but.....still not sold yet. [Reply]

Counterpoint: you also once said Pickett to Pickens would be as successful as Burrow to Chase. [Reply]
