Sources: Chiefs are signing kicker Spencer Shrader off the Jets practice squad and placing kicker Harrison Butker on injured reserve due to a knee injury. pic.twitter.com/4fmiBTvHaB
I remember the last time that our kicker got injured. I think that was Santos. Veach went out and signed some kicker off of another teams practice squad. That kicker was Harrison Butker. Let's hope that they can pull that off again. [Reply]

Just makes the playoff wins and the 3peat that much sweeter! Not worried in the least! [Reply]
To fill the vacancy, the Chiefs are signing Spencer Shrader off the Jets practice squad to their 53-man roster.
In a pinch, the Chiefs have used safety Justin Reid as an emergency kicker. The length of Butker's injury appears to have forced the team to bring in a specialist. [Reply]

New #Chiefs K Spencer Shrader is replacing Butker until he returns. Earlier this preseason, he kicked a 56-yard field goal. I hear Shrader can kick long field goals, especially from 55+ yards during pregame. @ChiefsFocus | #ChiefsKingdompic.twitter.com/q4z1Q6RhtV
