Not really... going back to the "if they sign Romo, they should get nailed for tampering" comment, if a picture from the weekend of the conference championship games (during the 2016) season is all you have, then tampering charges are a bit weak.
The Broncos have been linked to Romo through rumor and prognostication by various sports writers. [Reply]

I give up! Trying to point out Donk cheating to a Donk homer is like trying to convince Clay that PFF is full of shit. While it is obvious to everyone with a brain that it's true, they just bury their heads in the sand and refuse to listen to common sense. [Reply]

Yep. But the Mile High Mule Tool is a special case. He poses to be different, and has many here fooled, but in the end he is the same. :-) [Reply]

Have you tried mentioning how Elway circumvented the salary cap as both a player and a manager? That seems pretty much impossible to refute. [Reply]

I've simply asked for one thing... something that could possibly be considered as tampering. All you've provided is that stupid picture and 'gossip and rumors', none of which has come from the people within the Broncos. [Reply]

And what exactly was "out there" about Maclin talking to Reid on the phone? Nothing. But it sure as hell didn't stop Goddell from stealing our 3rd round pick. [Reply]

I don't know what his official title is. They gave him a fake job at first so they could give him the rest of his 1996 and 1997 salaries, and then they changed it at some point when they actually gave him something to do. [Reply]

Not against any rules, right MHM?
So he met with Romo? I had my picture taken with Elway 3 days before SB 50 and we certainly didn't have a meeting. [Reply]
Fact of the matter is I don't think Elway is high on bringing Romo in. There's a reason Musgrave was brought in (already having McCoy) and that is for QB development. [Reply]

I meant, "He circumvented the salary cap as a manager?" [Reply]

You think he signed Manning and Talib and that one-year guard and Sanders and that safety guy and Demarcus Ware legitimately? The Broncos got half of the top free agents, including the top quarterback and pass rusher, in a 32-team league over the course of Elway's first few years. When 31 other teams were balancing the books, the Broncos did nothing but buy. You don't think that's a little bit suspicious in a league with a salary cap? Because I think it's very suspicious, especially given Elway's background and what happened in '96 and '97. [Reply]
