Buzz,
I use a 1/4 teaspoon on one side of a piece of chicken...no less a whole sasquatched bird.
That's why the make a low sodium version? I've tried it and I actually like it but it's not hot
yet still better than Mrs Dash.
Original
hot, better than Original
low sodium
1/4 teaspoon doesn't go very far. I gave up all spice blends that salt was the first ingredient 20 years ago.
TC's
I make my own with no salt, hotter than **** too. This is what I give to others which is low in salt.
Try this:
1/2 cup good paprika not smoked
1/4 cup sea salt or kosher finely processed *(I use 2 tablespoons)
2 tablespoons sugar *(I use 1 tablespoon)
3 tablespoons mustard powder
1/4 cup chili powder *(I add 1/4 teaspoon ground ghost pepper)
1/4 cup ground cumin
3 tablespoons fresh ground black pepper
1/4 cup granulated garlic
3 tablespoons cayenne
For chicken I sometimes drop the 1/2 paprika and X out the mustard [Reply]
