Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Watson might be an acceptable consolation prize, but the bears are the team that will spend the next decade kicking themselves in the dick.
Bears... QB's... I mean... **** man. Football gods bless the bears for being retarded.
I wanted Mahomes, but I didn't allow myself to really humor the idea. "Yeah, the chiefs will trade up for a 1st round QB"
I guess if you're going to wait 30 years, do it right. ****. The last time I was this excited for KC football I hadn't hit puberty yet.
It's the best time to be a fan in decades. Veach is building the "Reid-proof" team that will overcome his many, many game day shortcomings.
A couple of more drafts and KC will be downright lethal.
Someone should re-post the Texans post-pick, war room photo. I have never SEEN a more beaten and uninspired group of people in my life. :-) [Reply]

I actually feel like Mahomes himself answered a question once saying that he throws like that from playing shortstop. [Reply]
In the article he’s quoted saying, “I think a lot of is from baseball and how I could sling the ball across the diamond. I played shortstop my whole life. I never had my feet under me. I was always making throws across my body. I always have played a lot of basketball and thrown a lot of ‘no-look’ passes, and this is me using all the stuff I’ve grown up doing.” [Reply]

That's pretty exciting. To take those skills and incorporate them into his skills as a quarterback. He really could take the position to a whole new level, much like basketball players playing tight end had changed the TE position. And to think, if that happens, the Chiefs are the team that started it all. [Reply]

I think the fact that the offense improved dramatically when Nagy started calling plays lends quite a bit of validity to this viewpoint you're mocking.

You think that was a coincidence?
I think Nagy is yet another OC in a long line of OC's taught by Reid, who called plays from Reid's playbook, in game plans influenced by Reid. [Reply]

When Andy retires, he needs to leave us with a parting gift. Hopefully he has the next Nagy/Pederson ready to take over. [Reply]
