But even putting aside having to meet his contract demands, I would be surprised if the Chiefs would go anywhere near that after the 'you lied to us'. Not sure Hunt would exactly want to deal with that media circus either...

I agree time to move on but let's not get carried away here.
So you believe that if Mahomes had adequate protection, and didn't have to scramble a cumulative 400+ yards just to get passes away, that he could not have beaten the team he already defeated in the same stadium earlier in the year.

Ok dude.
I didn't say it was impossible the Chiefs win that game with a healthy oline, but to act like it is a guarantee is a bit of a stretch.
Lets not act like Mahomes wasn't horrible in the 2nd half against the Bengals. He's had some games where he has struggled. It's not crazy to think the Bucs D may have been able to slow him down enough so they could win. Chiefs D was awful that game. [Reply]

If he was going to take such a pay cut to be a backup, he could have at gone to a contender.

you get what you give kareem.
Yeah, I don't get it unless his agent knows that he's persona non grata with most teams. As a full-time starter he would be a top-ten running back in the league, though, so you'd have to think that some teams would have interest.
Nudging that bar whore with his foot was a huge mistake. [Reply]
